Dr. Amanda “Amy” Cryan

Dr. Amanda Cryan goes by her nickname, Dr. Amy. Dr. Amy founded Growing Smiles Pediatric & Adolescent Dentistry, PLLC in 2008. Her expertise is in the dental care of infants, children and teenagers, just as pediatricians specialize in their medical care. Dr. Cryan went to Boston College undergraduate. Dr. Cryan then went on to the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine for dental school and completed her pediatric dental residency program at University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.
The specialty of Pediatric Dentistry requires two additional years of postgraduate dental education following dental school. Dr. Cryan then went on to achieve Board Specialty status and is a Diplomate for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. This means that Dr. Cryan has achieved the highest level of education and proficiency in the field of pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Cryan is affiliated with O’shei Children’s Hospital and does surgical cases for her patients there 1 time a month.

Dr. Cryan is also active in local dentistry and is currently serving on the 8th District Dental Society Board.

Dr. Cryan does community outreach both locally and internationally. Teaching preschoolers about oral healthcare and serving children in areas where dentistry is not readily available.

When Dr. Amy is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Amy and her husband, Joseph, have two boys and two dogs. Dr. Amy always says her first son is her four-legged baby, Giuseppe. Giuseppe was the first therapy dog at Growing Smiles from 2008-2012. Giuseppe has retired from work but is being well loved at home.
