Your child should have their first visit once their first primary tooth erupts and not later than their first birthday. This first visit focuses on establishing a dental home in the event of a dental emergency, oral hygiene, parent education, diet, counseling, and habits such as pacifier use, thumb sucking etc.

For toddlers we begin the first visit by introducing the office environment and ourselves. Most of the time, a basic oral exam is performed. Older children will receive a thorough examination and any necessary dental x-rays of the mouth and jaw. We welcome parents to stay with their child during the examination, at which point we will go over your child’s dental needs. If dental work is needed we will thoroughly discuss the recommended treatment plan taking into consideration your individual family needs such as time constraints, financial concerns and any other special needs. Depending on your child’s level of cooperation, we may also do a cleaning and a fluoride treatment.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about your child or have any special needs so that we may take care of your child in the best possible way.

We work with most insurance plans. Please call or fax your insurance information to our office 24 hours before your child’s first appointment. This will help us work with your insurance. Please bring your proof of insurance, and our office will then file all the necessary forms with your insurance company. We also accept cash, check, MasterCard and Visa. We will work with you considering your families individual needs as much as possible.
